Andy Borem, President and CEO of Chickasha of Georgia, is a delegate member of the National Cotton Council, the National Cottonseed Products Association and a member if the American Institute if Certified Public Accountants. He is a graduate of both Valdosta State University (BBA Accounting) and the University of Georgia (MS Agriculture and Applied Economics). Chickasha is the largest “Georgia owned” oilseed crusher in the state. Our owners consist of approximately 50% of the Georgia’s cotton ginning capacity. In addition to cottonseed crushing Chickasha manages over 40 cottonseed warehouses throughout the Georgia and Florida. Chickasha has been successful at converting cottonseed soap stock, a by-product of high fatty cottonseed, into boiler fuel. A significant portion of the Chickasha steam requirements now are derived from the high fatty seed.
