Biography
Jim and Rick will introduce to teachers many renewable energy forms—but emphasize bioenergy as a future energy source (as it relates to Georgia, the nation and world). Renewable energy from the teacher’s perspective will be their focus. Most of these would be hands-on lessons that the teachers could implement in the classroom. They will discuss the NREL Education programs for Interns, Pre-service Teachers and the Laboratory Science Teacher Development (LSTPD) Program.
Teacher scholarships are available for those educators who would like to attend the entire Georgia Bioenergy Conference 2006. For more information, contact Evelyn Folds at (229) 386-7274 or email efolds@uga.edu
